{Personal} Bring on 2012…but first…….

Happy New Year everyone! After taking a couple of weeks off, I’m ready to jump right in to 2012! But, before I do that,  I want to thank you all for a wonderful + amazing 2011 + look back at last year. There is no shorter way to write all of my thank yous so I hope you all will bear with me!! I have to begin by saying thank you to my loving husband for being so supportive + my family + friends for always being there for me + helping me build this new adventure in my life. I had some pretty amazing sessions in 2011 + some pretty fun opportunities too. I was honored to do maternity and newborn sessions for friends that I went to elementary school with and haven’t seen since high school. I captured the moments of excited, expecting parents waiting for their little one to arrive to capturing the first few days of their new life. I had the pleasure of getting cute shots of toddlers experiencing new things in their life and catching the adorable expressions on their faces. I’ve gotten those detail shots, which I absolutely love doing, at some really fun events. Rock of Ages + Young Frankenstein cast parties, a Vintage Red Wagon birthday party along with a What a Journey birthday party (which were both featured on Amy Atlas’ blog…VERY exciting!!). A Monster Theme Party + a Snow Party, which were featured in Birds Party Magazine. I can’t even begin to express how exciting this was + such a milestone for me!!! I’ve even gotten some pretty amazing opportunities to photograph concerts such as Dave Koz and a meet and greet for Michael McDonald!!! And something that is very near + dear to my heart…..the adorable + fun + cute + loving pet photo sessions I did. Not only did I get to photograph some pretty cute animals, I was able to give some of the proceeds to some local dog rescues as well (Pug Rescue of Florida, Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida + Pit Stop Bully Rescue). I’ve met some pretty amazing people along the way + I’d say that 2011 was an amazing, wonderful + great year for me. And I wouldn’t have been able to do it without each of you so thank you!!

A personal thank you goes out to the amazing + supportive people that have helped me along the way:

Of course, again, my loving husband! My family (my sister Shannon + Aunt Gail) for sending people my way when I was just starting out. One of my best friends, Gina (who is a wonderful photographer herself) for the referrals you sent me. Kevin + Elissa Stone (One Stone Events) for the wonderful opportunities you’ve offered to me.

And now, some of my favorite pictures from some of the sessions from 2011. There were too many to choose from, this is only a handful. Thank you again and I am excited to see what 2012 will bring my way!!

Many blessings,
